As the Head of The Highlands School, I am excited to share an important development that underscores our commitment to providing accessible, high-quality education for all students. After careful consideration and in response to the evolving needs of our families, we are thrilled to announce a reduction in tuition rates by $9,000 for grades K-2 starting fall 2025. The new rate is $21,000.
A Commitment to Early Intervention
At The Highlands School, we firmly believe that early intervention is critical to a child’s academic and social development. Research consistently shows that the foundational years of education set the stage for lifelong learning, confidence, and success. By investing in these formative years, we aim to empower every child to reach their fullest potential.
This new tuition rate reflects our dedication to making our enriching programs accessible to a wider range of families. We understand that education is an investment, and we want to ensure that this investment is within reach for all who seek it.
How the Decision Was Made
The decision to reduce tuition rates was the result of extensive discussions among our leadership team, faculty, and board. We reviewed our financial models and considered the impact of current economic challenges on families. After analyzing various options, we determined that lowering tuition would not only alleviate financial stress for our families but also align with our mission to prioritize early intervention strategies.
Our goal is to foster a learning environment where children thrive academically and emotionally. By making our programs more accessible, we can invite more families into our Highlands community, creating a diverse and supportive environment where every child can flourish.
What This Means for Our Community
With the new tuition structure, families can expect:
- Enhanced Programs: We will continue to offer our signature programs, including individualized learning plans and specialized support, ensuring that every child receives the attention they deserve.
- Broader Access: This change allows us to welcome a wider range of students, promoting diversity and inclusion within our school community.
- Ongoing Support: Our commitment to early intervention remains steadfast. We will continue to provide resources and support for both students and families, ensuring that everyone has the tools they need to succeed.
Looking Ahead
We are excited about this new chapter at The Highlands School and the positive impact it will have on our students and families. As we implement this change, we remain committed to our mission of educating students with learning differences and achievement gaps.
